Message from Pastor Bill Neil: 
I was able to attend the Massachusetts’ Poor People’s Campaign meeting on April 8 in Quincy. (It gave me an excuse to stay overnight with my Quincy grandchildren!) The meeting was well-attended and provided both information and inspiration. The Massachusetts group is part of a national movement for moral revival. The primary concerns are poverty, systemic racism, the war economy, and ecological devastation. A season of 40 days will promote a “Nonviolent Moral Fusion of Direct Action,” beginning on May 14 and culminating on June 23.
There will be a series of “Moral Mondays” to be held as public demonstrations in state capitols and in Washington, D. C. Each demonstration will have a clear message. The first will be on May 14 with a focus on how our neighbors are being hurt by Poverty and Racism. On May 21 the focus will be on immigration and voting rights. May 28 will focus on the War Economy and care for our veterans, especially the challenge of PTSD. June 4 will look at the Environment and Health Care. On June 11 the focus will be on Housing and Wages. The state-level demonstrations will culminate in mass gathering in Washington, D. C. on June 23. Busses will bring folks from all over our nation. Every effort will be made to bring the message of national moral revival.
