Worship Services

Our worship is at 10:30am on Sunday mornings, offered both in person and streaming.

Please call the church office at 413-243-1033 or email uccleechurch@gmail.com with any questions.

For in-person worship, masks and physical distancing are no longer required but are still recommended if you are at higher risk of Covid-related consequences. Please see information about driving directions and parking.

For online worship, join us live (or watch any time) on our Facebook page. Note that you do not need a Facebook account.

A Family-Friendly Church

We are a family-friendly church, and we believe that children belong in church with parent(s) or guardian(s) where they can learn about God by watching the adults in their lives worship and being engaged in the church service. All children are invited to participate in Holy Communion.

Because we know younger children are squirmy, our services are generally no longer than 45 minutes, including a “Children’s Moment” in the service. There is a nursery area at the back of the church where a child can play and move. We also have a Faith Friend available to assist parents with an energetic child.

Older children are often involved as readers and worship leaders.

Jesus said, Let the children come to me, and don’t stop them, for to them belongs the Kingdom of Heaven.
— Matthew 19:14

Music Programs

Our choir is a hard-working, fun-loving, and super-friendly group of essentially regular folks. We are committed to serving and praising God, to enhancing the worship service by bringing the people gathered closer to God, and to making wonderful music together.

We rehearse Sunday mornings at 9:15am before worship. We are all amateur singers and enthusiastically welcome new singers.

Appalachian Service Project Youth Mission Trips

This formerly annual work trip has not resumed since the pandemic.

  • In 2017, 19 volunteer work crews (10 adults and 9 youth) lent their services to the needs of families and community in Chaperville, West Virginia.

July 2016: Nineteen youth and adults traveled to WV to help rebuild homes for families in poverty.

July 2015: Thirteen youth and eight adults traveled to Rainelle, West Virginia to help rebuild homes for three families living in poverty.

July 2014: Eight adults and thirteen youth traveled to Nicholas County, West Virginia to help rebuild homes for three families in need. Many friendships and memories resulted from this trip.

July 2013: Twenty youth and adults traveled to Evarts, Kentucky (Harlan County) to help rebuild homes for three families in need.

July 2012: Seven adults and twelve youth traveled to Demascus, Virginia (Meadowview) to help rebuild homes for three families living in poverty.

June 2011: Enthusiasm from the 2010 trip brought additional adults on this year’s trip to Hinton, West Virginia. Seven youth and seven adults helped to rebuild homes for two families this year.

August 2010: Ten of our youth went on a mission trip to West Virginia where they worked on two houses. The bulk of their work consisted of constructing a roof on one of the houses, putting up sheetrock, and a ceiling! Although an exhausting trip for the team (four adults participated as well), they plan to go on another mission trip next year. They thank the many businesses and individuals who came forward with donations of money, tools, water, and other support that made their trip possible.
